洞石，学名“石灰华”碳酸钙是主要成分。由于孔洞很多，所以叫洞石。洞穴石的形成要么在沉积过程中形成大量气泡，要么在沉积过程中形成大量古生物残骸，然后在水的腐蚀过程中形成大量孔。

天然石洞石是指在熔洞地区，经过几千年的水浸或潮湿环境，水和气体侵入石头，造成长期侵蚀，从而在石头表面和内部形成孔的独特石头。天然洞石具有效果自然简单，一直是高档建筑装饰材料，但由于材料有限、成本高、价格昂贵，限制了大量使用。人们一直希望研发形式和装饰效果接近天然石材，而人造石材的成本较低，以代替天然洞石。瓷砖是模仿天然洞石最好的产品。现有的洞石通常通过模具设计或造孔剂来模仿。但对于模具生产的孔石，由于模具投资大，孔的方式较少；而造孔剂的方式，由于发泡进入孔的机制，导致产量低。本发明采用占位法原理，制造高仿真洞石。
